According to our bylaws:

Membership is this Alliance shall include those persons who meet guidelines as regular or associate members. Membership shall not be denied or abridged on account of sex, color, creed, race, religion, ethnic or national origin.

Classification

Regular members

A regular member shall be the spouse of a physician member of the Salt Lake County Medical Society, or the spouse of a retired physician member of the Salt Lake County Medical Society, or the widow or widower of a physician member of the Salt Lake County Medical Society, provided that person has not remarried.

Associate members

An associate member shall be:

1. The spouse of a physician, or the spouse of a retired physician or the widow or widower (provided that person has not remarried outside the profession) of a physician who qualifies or qualified but is not or was not a member of the Salt Lake County Medical Society.
2. The divorced spouse (who was a Salt Lake County Medical Alliance member at the time of the divorce and provided that the person has not remarried outside of the profession) of a physician who was a member or was qualified to be a member of the Salt Lake County Medical Society.
